Surface Finishing
what is surface treatment
Surface treatment is a process used to change the surface properties, appearance and performance of a material to improve the durability, corrosion resistance, aesthetics and other characteristics of the material. Surface treatment is usually carried out after the material has been formed and can be achieved by a range of chemical, physical or mechanical methods.
The Role of Surface Treatment
01 Improve Corrosion Resistance
Through surface treatment, a protective oxide layer, coating or covering can be formed on the surface of the material, thereby preventing the material from contacting with oxygen, water, chemicals, etc., in the environment and reducing corrosion.
02 Enhance Hardness And Wear Resistance
Surface treatment can make the surface of the material form hardening, nitriding, oxidation and other layers, improve the hardness and wear resistance of the material, extend the service life.
03 Improved Lubricity
Some surface treatments can form a smooth lubricating layer on the surface of the material, reducing friction and wear.
04 Improve Aesthetics
Surface treatment can make the surface of the material have a better appearance, such as painting, electroplating, polishing, etc.
05 Achieve Conductivity or Insulation
Surface treatment can change the conductivity or insulation of the material, which is suitable for electronics, electrical appliances and other fields.
06 Enhance Adhesion
Surface treatment can form an appropriate texture or structure on the surface of the material to improve the adhesion of coatings, adhesives, etc.
Surface Treatment Classification
Polishing
Purpose: The purpose of using polishing is to remove the marks left by CNC machining, pollution and oxidation, and improve the appearance of the parts.
Applicable materials: Applicable to all materials.
Sandblast
Usage: Pearlescent treatment is mainly used to improve the appearance characteristics of finished parts.
Applicable materials: Applicable to all materials.
Spray and powder coating
Use: The purpose of powder spraying is to increase the smoothness of the surface, so that the parts can withstand corrosion. Powder spraying can also be used for coloring purposes.
Applicable materials: Applicable to all materials.
Our Factory And Facilities
Kingship owns high precision 3-, 4- and 5-axis imported machines which allow us to achieve tight tolerances. We have also invested in a material tester, so that we can verify the materials we use and make sure they are the correct ones for each project. And we can quickly get measurement results from our automotive coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
Why Choose Kingship
Kingship Machinery Division has successfully obtained certifications for quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949. We have also continuously introduced advanced manufacturing and precision inspection equipment from countries like Japan, Germany, and Switzerland, ensuring a robust foundation for the production of precise, stable, and high-quality products for our customers.
