Die Casting Mold Making
Die Casting Mold Making
Die casting die making is to convert the concept of die casting die design into a practical usable die for the production of die casting parts. The manufacturing process involves a series of steps from material selection to machining, assembly and commissioning to ensure the final production of high-quality, precise dimensioned die-cast parts.
Factors to be considered when making die casting molds
01 Mold Material Selection
According to the requirements of mold design, choose the appropriate mold material. Usually select special steels with high strength, high wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
02 CNC Machining
The use of CNC machine tools for precision processing, including milling, turning, drilling, etc., to produce various parts of the mold.
03 EDM
For some fine, complex part details, EDM can be used to achieve high-precision machining. Mold cavity and cooling system production: the production of upper mold and lower mold cavity, as well as the built-in cooling system to ensure that parts can be quickly cooled and solidified after forming.
04 Surface Treatment
The surface of the mold is treated, such as sandblasting and electroplating, to improve the surface quality and extend the life of the mold.
05 Assembly
Each part of the upper die and the lower die are assembled to ensure the normal function of the die.
06 Debugging
Once the aluminum alloy has solidified, open the mold and remove the formed aluminum alloy parts.
07 Testing
Test molds using trial molds or small production methods to check the quality of finished parts, dimensional accuracy, etc.
08 Maintenance And Maintenance
After the completion of the mold production, regular maintenance and maintenance are needed to ensure that the mold remains in good condition during long-term use.
09 Mold Repair
In the process of use, the mold may appear wear, damage, etc., need to be repaired and maintained.
Our Factory And Facilities
Kingship owns high precision 3-, 4- and 5-axis imported machines which allow us to achieve tight tolerances. We have also invested in a material tester, so that we can verify the materials we use and make sure they are the correct ones for each project. And we can quickly get measurement results from our automotive coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
Why Choose Kingship
Kingship Machinery Division has successfully obtained certifications for quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949. We have also continuously introduced advanced manufacturing and precision inspection equipment from countries like Japan, Germany, and Switzerland, ensuring a robust foundation for the production of precise, stable, and high-quality products for our customers.
